Every
square millimeter of the Artcar has been collaged with found movie posters and
coated with more than fifty layers of transparent acrylic polymer and liquid
plastic to protect the surface and build depth. The exterior is entirely
composed of black and white text and font fragments that is arranged into whimsical swirling
patterns offset with geometric configurations – inverting negative and positive
space as the text and font changes from black to white. The result is a
constant shape shifting along the surface that creates a delightful optical effect. The
interior is almost entirely composed in color with overlapping image fragments-
creating a rich tapestry of texture .On the passenger door a montage of lightning, roses, and beautiful faces is juxtaposed with explosions,
menacing villains, and urban decay – a chaos of contrasting color and content
that reflects like a mirror.
